The Axial Skeleton Weekend Workshop

The Axial Skeleton Weekend Workshop
Anatomy, Asana and Alignment of the Pelvis, Spine, & Shoulders in Shoulder Openers, Twists, Revolved Poses and Core Poses & Vinyasa

Join us as we explore the axial skeleton and the related muscles, tissues and organs. We'll review the Anatomy and Physiology of the Pelvis, Spine, Shoulders, and Torso, and the related muscles, tissues and organs. We'll discuss their strengths and weaknesses and introduce Alignment Principles to safely create range of motion and stability. And to put the Anatomy and Alignment Principles into Action, we'll incorporate all this information into an Asana practice (physical poses) emphasizing Shoulder Openers, Twists, Core Strengthening and breaking down the Vinyasa. This course offers an in-depth study of classical Hatha yoga poses for the beginner student or it is a great refresher for the intermediate or advanced yogi or yogini.

In this course, we will also address the spiritual aspects of the Pelvis, Spine, Shoulders, and Torso, and the related muscles, tissues and organs including, but not limited to, the Bhandas, Vayus, Chakras and Nadis.
